Odd Socks Day-

WHY IS ODD SOCKS DAY IMPORTANT? The day sends an important message that we should all be allowed to be ourselves free from bullying and helps us celebrate Anti-Bullying Week in a fun and positive way.

ART – ANTI BULLYING FLAG COLLAGE

Ask students to design an eye-catching flag that features a symbol of unity. They may use as many or as little colour as they wish. We will display in the assembly hall, to create a collage of all the flags.

All entries to be dropped to class 13 by Thursday (18th) lunch time for display please.

Decorate Class Boards with One Kind Words examples–

Write something kind about each other in the class- staff and students plus include others in the school who you would like to mention.

It would be great if the classes could walk around to see the boards- for a ripple effect

One kind word can provide a moment of hope. It can be a turning point. It can change someone’s perspective. It can change their day. It can change the course of a conversation and break the cycle of bullying. Best of all, one kind word leads to another. Kindness fuels kindness. So from the playground to Parliament, and from our phones to our homes, together, our actions can fire a chain reaction that powers positivity. It starts with one kind word. It starts today.

The Poetry Competition theme is on the importance of Kindness.

Please give entries to the student council class rep for Friday morning meeting.
