Mock Exams

It has indeed been an undoubtedly busy week for J.C.S.P students in class 12 and L.C.A students in class 14, as they were adequately preparing for the Junior Certificate mock exams and the Leaving Certificate mock exams respectively. Last week’s mock exams included the following subjects:

English studies
Mathematics
C.S.P.E
ESS
And soon to be followed by this week’s final mock exam, Woodwork studies. These mock exams play an important role in the academic learning of each student, as it is intended to prepare them successfully for the final exams that are due to be conducted in June 2018. During these busy times, it is woven into our own perspective that we wish each J.C.S.P and L.C.A student the very best of luck for the exams.

Ossory Youth Visit

Anxiety and stress is a natural occurrence within the development of the human mind, particularly in the stage of adolescence. However, it’s important to discuss this topic for the help and support of not only teenagers, but to any individual experiencing difficulties in coping with anxiety. Today was a rather delightful opportunity to discuss this. Ossory Youth, a youth club located at the Desart Hall, Kilkenny, came to visit our school to discuss the physiology of human anxiety with a workshop set up within classes 8 and 13. The workshop involved a discussion of how we cope with stress and the everyday challenges that we may encounter as adolescents of the school. It was a pleasure on behalf of Ossory Youth to have taken their time to visit the school and discuss these matters with the senior students. Wishing the very best of luck to everyone at Ossory Youth, Kilkenny.
